  • Insurance Coverage
We have a good deal of experience in interpreting insurance policies and in rendering opinions on coverage, duty to defend, duty to indemnify, and other insurance contract related issues. Our attorneys are also very well versed in defending bad faith litigation, and monitoring claims. The firm has a broad based practice area in policy interpretation on behalf of carriers and also works with excess carriers.

  • State Regulatory Practice
Our firms connection with the insurance industry dates back to our founding partner when he served as the First Deputy Superintendent for the New York State Insurance Department in the late seventies. After his time there, Michael E. Curan went on to become the Executive Director and General Counsel for the New York State Insurance Brokers Association. He has also been an officer and client of the Insurance Federation of New York since 1980. His experience and reputation in the industry have helped him achieve positive results in his work on behalf of insurance clients in relation with the State of New York.
